Kousiki Lalatika was born in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. At the age of four she started learning Odissi from Ms. Sushree Mohanty at Bhubaneswar and later under the able guidance of Guru Smt. Sangeeta Dash at Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education (SAICE), Puducherry, India till 2017. Being one of the senior most students of Smt. Sangeeta Dash, she also conducted classes for the junior students at SAICE. She has great enthusiasm in learning and teaching Odissi.

Currently she is learning Odissi under the tutelage of Guru Sushree Mohanty in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Her enthusiasm, dedication and hard work in dance, has made her standards well appreciated by some of the renowned gurus of Odissi.

She is Masters in Environment Management and Technology earning a perfect CGPA in the University. She graduated in 2017 majoring in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Solar Science from SAICE, Puducherry, India. She speaks 7 languages including three foreign languages such as French, English and Spanish. She also plays the Sitar and the Piano.

Kousiki Lalatika is also a T.V. Artist in the Doordarshan Kendra, Prasar Bharti, India's Public Service Broadcaster.
